Why this training

Four signs a campus needs engagement training

01

Students stop trying

When students do not connect, they disengage. Engagement strategies build both motivation and participation.

02

Phones get the attention

Storytelling, randomization, and attention-grabbers give the lesson a fair chance.

03

Nothing sticks

Connecting content to students' lives raises retention.

04

Anxiety at test time

Dynamic tension strategies help students handle pressure and build resilience.

Research

"Focusing on students' social-emotional development had the largest contribution to the effectiveness of classroom management strategies."

Korpershoek et al. (2016). Review of Educational Research, Vol. 86, No. 3.
The five pillars

One day, five pillars

Every pillar comes with modeling and practice, so teachers can use it right away.

Pillar One

Promoting positive feelings

Every class has students with different backgrounds and abilities. A warm, safe climate is where engagement starts, and teachers practice building one.

Pillar Two

Promoting attention and interest

Storytelling is one of the oldest teaching tools, and it still works. This pillar pairs it with randomization and questioning so that participation becomes the expectation.

Pillar Three

Promoting connectedness and relevance

Why do students forget a unit by the next week? Usually because it never connected. Synectics and visual approaches help teachers fix that.

Pillar Four

Promoting self-efficacy

The goal of education is for students to learn how they learn best. Dynamic tension strategies and practice under pressure help them perform in real conditions and become resilient learners.

Pillar Five

Sharing best practices

Stop reinventing the wheel. With the matrix method, a staff can see which lessons work, share them, and spot gaps in instructional coverage.

Agenda

The engagement agenda

Most schools choose a full day. A half-day is available, and dates follow your calendar.

In the first block, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, your trainer connects engagement to motivation, introduces the pillars, and has teachers practice positive feelings, movement, randomization, and storytelling.

After lunch, the second block runs from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM and covers relevance, personal connections, visual images, self-efficacy, and preparing students to respond under pressure.
